The Munster Mustang Girls Cross Country team is headed to State after an impressive showing at the New Prairie Regional this past Saturday. The Mustangs placed 5th overall, earning one of the qualifying spots for the IHSAA State Championship. In a tight race for the final team berth, Munster edged out Chesterton by just one point, securing their ticket to Terre Haute. Leading the way for the Mustangs were Elora Bliss, finishing 8th overall, and Lekha Patel, who crossed the line in 12th place. The team will compete at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course in Terre Haute this Saturday for a chance to cap off their season on the state’s biggest stage. Good luck, girls!
