The Munster varsity baseball team faced a tough challenge on the road Thursday night, falling 2-0 to a strong Crown Point squad in a tightly contested non-conference matchup. Despite a solid outing from the Mustang pitching staff, the Bulldogs used timely hitting and strong pitching of their own to secure the win. J. Kunas turned in a gritty performance on the mound for Munster, going five innings and allowing just two earned runs on seven hits. E. Kicho provided a clean sixth inning in relief, striking out two while walking one. On offense, N. Iatrides recorded the Mustangs’ only hit of the game, as Crown Point’s pitching staff combined for a one-hit shutout.
