Munster stormed back from an early 8-2 deficit to defeat Hanover Central 14-9 on Monday, April 21, in a wild conference matchup. The Mustangs started fast with solo homers from Caroline Wendlinger and Ally Compton, but Hanover answered with eight runs over the first two innings. Munster chipped away, tying the game at 9-9 in the sixth, then erupted in the seventh with a go-ahead run and a grand slam from Kaylee O’Connell to seal it. Compton was clutch both ways, striking out 10 over 5.2 innings in relief to earn the victory. O’Connell led the offense, going 2-for-4 with 5 RBIs. With the win, Munster moved to 13-3 overall and 4-0 in conference play. The JV lost a tough one 12-7.
