The Lady Seahorses dominated the IHSAA Sectional qualifying round, securing spots for all swimmers in tomorrow’s finals at Lake Central High School. With only a 40-point spread expected to determine the team champion, they face a tough battle against Lake Central (LCHS) and Crown Point (CPHS). The team posted an impressive 85% best times in last night’s qualifying round and aims to push even further in tomorrow’s finals. The Girls 200 Medley, 200 Free, and 400 Free relays all earned spots in the final heat, with top-seeded performances from Mia Terfler in the 200 IM and Lilly King in both the 100 Fly and 100 Back. Beyond these top seeds, more than seven other Lady Seahorses made the top eight, keeping them in strong contention for individual titles. The team’s diving squad—Jeorgia Garcia, Jenna Krieg, and Jensen Kekelik—will also be in action, starting at 9 a.m., followed by swimming finals at 1 p.m. With everything on the line, the Lady Seahorses are ready to bring their best and battle for the sectional championship. Tomorrow promises to be an electrifying day in the pool!
