The varsity softball team lost to conference foe Andrean 6-4. Andrean scored one in the first and the Mustangs answered with three in the bottom of the frame. Kaylee O'Connell had a two-run homerun and CeCe Mason had a sacrifice fly. The 59ers answered with 1 in the 2nd; 3 in the 3rd and another in the 6th. In the bottom of the 6th, the Mustangs scored their final run. Kylie Madura led the 10 hit Mustangs with 3 hits in 4 AB with 1 RBI and Kaylee O'Connell was 2-4 with 1 run and 2 RBI's. 5 other Mustangs had hits. Ally Compton pitched the final 4 innings giving up 2 hits and 1 unearned run with 2 K's. The Mustangs are now 12-5 overall and 5-1 in conference play. The JV team traveled to Andrean and came out with 9-6 win. Addy Biel earned the victory and Brooke Hoving earned a save. Caitlin Bochenek was 2-5 with a homerun and Mia Pilja was 3-4 with 3 RBIs. The JV is 6-5. The Varsity is in action on Thursday at Illiana Christian at 5:00 PM.
