In Thursday's game vs. the Highland Trojans, the Mustangs won in dramatic fashion, with a 5-4 8 inning walk-off victory. Milania Munoz singled to plate the winning run. The Trojans jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the top of the 4th inning. The Mustangs answered in the bottom of the frame scoring 2 runs with an Ally Compton homerun and a Caroline Wendlinger RBI single. The Mustanges plated one in the 5th and tied the game with a Kaylee O'Connell RBI single in the bottom of the 7th. O'Connell earned the win after surrendering just two hits and no runs over the last 4 1/3 innings. The victory raised their record to 12-4 and 5-0 in the conference. The JV team defeated Highland 13-0. They now have a record of 6-5. The varsity plays conference rival Andrean at home on Monday, April 22 at 5:00 PM and the JV travels to Andrean.
