The Mustangs extended their winning streak to nine games with a 9-5 victory over conferece foe Hanover Central. Munster jumped out to an early 4-0 lead and Hanover answered with 2 in the 3rd. Munster then put another 5 on the scoreboard through the sixth inning. The Mustangs held on for the victory after Hanover scored 3 in the top of the seventh. The pitching duties were shared by Emily Siurek and Kaylee O'Connell. Siurek pitched the first four innings earning the victory with 3 K's, 0 BB, and 4 Hits. O'Connell came in to pitch the final three innings giving up 2 hits, 5K's, and 2 BB. The bats were hot for the Mustangs as they belted out 14 hits. Kylie Madura, Kaylee O'Connell, Ally Compton, Caroline Wendling and Melania Munoz all had multi-hit games. Madura was 3-5, 3 runs socred, and 3 RBI's. O'Connell and Compton chipped in 2 RBI's as well. The JV Mustangs traveled to Hanover and came out victorious 20-8. The Mustangs had a whopping 19 hits led by Addie Smitka who was 4-5 with 2 RBI's, Olivia Andriessen who was 4-6 with 2 RBI's, and Addy Biel who was 3-5 with 5 RBI's and a 3 run homerun. The Mustangs return to action on Tuesday, April 16 at home vs. Hobart.
