Mustang Girls Golf Finishes 11th at State Finals

The Munster Mustang girls golf team wrapped up an impressive season with an 11th-place finish at the 2026 IHSAA Girls Golf State Finals at Battle Ground Golf Club in Battle Ground, Indiana. Munster opened the state finals on Friday with a team score of 346 and followed with a 351 on Saturday, finishing with a two-day total of 697 (+121). The Mustangs finished just 13 strokes behind 10th-place Lake Central. Hannah Ingersoll led the Mustangs individually, shooting an 80 on Friday and 74 on Saturday for a two-day total of 154 (+10), good for a tie for 15th place overall. Emily Padilla finished with rounds of 87 and 90 for a 177 (+33), placing 72nd. Payton Ingersoll carded a 91 on Friday and improved to a 90 on Saturday, finishing with a 181 (+37) in 77th place. Emilia Glombicki finished with rounds of 89 and 97 for a 186 (+42), placing 88th. Kayla Cipowski rounded out the Munster lineup with rounds of 90 and 98 for a two-day total of 188 (+44), finishing in a tie for 90th place. The Mustangs' 11th-place state finals finish caps a strong season for a team that battled its way through the postseason to earn a spot among Indiana's top girls golf programs.
