The Munster Mustang Cross Country teams competed at the Culver Invitational, with strong performances from both the varsity and underclassmen teams. The Girls Varsity team finished third overall in a deep field that included #16 Carroll and #20 Morgan Township. The Mustangs placed three runners in the top 30, five in the top 40, and all seven varsity runners in the top 55. Sophomore Lekha Patel led Munster with a 5th-place finish in 19:06.38, followed by senior Beatrissa Pitcher in 15th at 19:50.05. Sophomore Sophia Puliaeva and freshman Aubrey Earnshaw finished 26th and 27th, respectively, with Puliaeva recording a season PR and Earnshaw a PR. Junior Riley Sechowski completed the scoring five in 37th with a season PR of 20:45.73. For the Boys Varsity team, junior Robert Covarrubias led Munster with a 30th-place finish in 17:23.01 in a field of nearly 200 runners. Junior Thomas Burns finished 87th in 18:38.94, followed by junior Roan McGee in 104th at 18:52.76. Junior Richard Novak placed 137th in 19:24.11, while junior Nathaniel Sinclair rounded out the scoring five in 154th at 19:55.47. The Boys Freshman/Sophomore team also had an impressive showing, finishing third with 78 points. Sophomore Keegan McGee led the Mustangs with a 3rd-place finish in 17:24.7, followed by sophomore Noah Cunningham in 6th at 17:43.9. Sophomore Daniel Snyder finished 15th in 18:11.1, while sophomores Beau Bliss and Timothy Maldonado rounded out the scoring five in 26th and 28th, respectively.
