Munster Girls Track and Field competed at the IHSAA Regional in Portage on Tuesday, finishing 6th overall as a team with 35 points. The top three finishers in each event qualified for the State Finals. The Mustangs will be sending several athletes to state after strong performances across multiple events. Senior distance standout Elora Bliss punched her ticket to state with a runner-up finish in the 3200m run, crossing the line in 10:56.60. Munster’s 4x800 relay team of Lekha Patel, Olivia Ahn, Julia Casey, and Elora Bliss also qualified for state with a 3rd place finish in 9:32.72. Nwanma Odeluga qualified in discus placing 3rd with a throw of 124’5”. The IHSAA Girls Track and Field State Finals will take place Friday, June 5th in Indianapolis.
