Mustangs Set for Indoor State Championships

The Munster Mustangs girls track and field team is ready to compete among the state’s best as they head into the Indoor State Championships this weekend. The Mustangs have qualified in multiple events against a loaded large-school field, showing the depth and consistency the program has built throughout the indoor season. Leading the way, Elora Bliss is seeded 20th in the 3200-meter run after strong performances this indoor season. Bliss has also been a key contributor in relay competition. Munster’s 4x800-meter relay squad, featuring Julia Casey, Olivia Ahn, Bliss, Lekha Patel, and Vivian Koncalovic, enters the meet seeded 14th and looks to make a strong push against top competition. The Distance Medley Relay team of Casey, Patel, Ahn, Bliss, and Igbo Odeluga is seeded 18th and brings valuable experience after building momentum throughout the indoor season. In the field events, Nwanma Odeluga will represent the Mustangs in the shot put, entering the competition seeded 16th. With multiple entries across distance and field events, the Mustangs are set to compete, gain experience, and make their mark on the state stage.
