The Munster Seahorse boys swim team delivered a strong performance at the sectional meet this past Saturday, finishing 3rd overall with a team score of 436.5 behind Crown Point and Lake Central. Several Seahorses punched their tickets to the IHSAA State Finals, which will take place Friday and Saturday in Indianapolis. State qualifiers include Allan Galuszka, Marc Mao, Cayden Spilde, Jackson Lutkus, Timmy Newell, and Aiden Park. Galuszka claimed the sectional championship in the 100 backstroke, while Spilde captured the title in the 100 butterfly. The Seahorses also earned a sectional championship in the 200 medley relay, highlighting the team’s depth and strong postseason momentum. On the diving side, Van Mulcahy qualified for regionals and will compete Tuesday at Mishawaka High School for a chance to advance to the state meet. Congratulations to the Seahorses on an outstanding sectional performance, and best of luck to all competitors as they continue their postseason run.
