The Munster Mustangs won their first Girls’ Sectional in Cross Country since 2003! The Lady Mustangs out-distanced Lake Central and Highland 38-51-72. The team’s performance started with senior Kaylee Galvan taking control of the race at around the 2-mile mark and winning the Sectional- potentially our first individual champion in school history. The team followed by putting three more girls in the Top 10. Following Galvan were sophomore Maria Blaesing in 3rd, junior Annie Abioye in 9th, Elise Garcia in 10th, and Madison Steapleton in 15th. Brisa Bohling (20th) and Moira Boyle (30th) rounded out the team running strong races despite competing with injuries. With their first title in 13 seasons, the Lady Mustangs XC team qualified for the Crown Point Regional this Saturday! Best of luck and please come out and support the team as they try to qualify for the New Prairie Semi-State!
